A Momentous Opening of Art in Motion Exhibition at Indonesia House Amsterdam

What an incredible event the Art in Motion exhibition opening turned out to be! The atmosphere was filled with admiration for the diverse artworks on display, mingling guests, lively discussions, laughter, and even moments of deep emotion.

Talented young artists from both Indonesia and the Netherlands showcased their unique art forms in perfect harmony, bridging East and West while connecting the past with the present to envision the future. As the former Dutch ambassador to Indonesia eloquently put it, “It was like coming home.”

Next up: a workshop in February 2025 at the Erasmushuis in Jakarta, where young artists will collaborate on an art installation for Nusantara, Indonesia’s new administrative capital in Borneo. Remember, those who look back in black and white will never see the colors of the future.
